   Happy New Year!

I have a question. When viewing the Items Closed Area where a user can view their sold/won items, wouldn't it be better in the items won section that the user would see the sellers alias instead of themselves as the high bidder? They already know that. I would think the it would be more convenient for the seller to be listed there and also it would be great if there was a leave feedback link so the user can do that without going to the item itself. Also, that would be nice on the items sold section for the seller to easily leave feedback.

Finally, when you view a closed item and use the leave feedback button, all you can do is view the feedback and not submit any.

Has anyone do this or know how to do this?

   Hi Joe:

After reading your post, the first thing that came to my mind would be that if the bidders name is showing $lastbid, wouldn't it work if you replaced it with $selleralias?

You might run this by Richard first and please back up your script first!

I wish it was that simple. I tried it and got an internal server error.

Appreciate the suggestion. I would also like to see a way the feedback could be directly given from the myclosed items page instead of having to go to each item for the submit feedback link.

   Even from there you would have go the each item page to past feedback this is so only the seller or bidder can post a feedback, so the is the only way. I was swampt with users asking for it to be this way so now I not changing back now, cause it would be a total all file replacement upgrade agin.

Not so, the myclosed items is also password protected. It still would be only feedback by the actual buyer and seller. Perhaps you have misunderstood what I am referencing to.

I agree, only the buyer and seller should be able to access the feedback form. Only making the link from their items won or items sold list would make it one step easier.

Not a complaint just an idea.

By the why, would upgrading to the deluxe script be worth my time and expense. I do not want extra picture uploads, shopping malls, or midi files being part of my auction. Are there any other features making it worth my while.

I believe your standard script is well worth the $100. Does it get a bit confusing working with two scripts?

Ok I thought you where refuring to a different sub, view your closed sold/wone is where you should leave the feedback but there was a problem here download a new copy of the auction and just use the new auction.pl file and this will fix you problem, but you still have to view the selected auction item to have acess to the feedback link, sorry but this is the way it will alway be

The only difference is the 4 image uploads, the sound background, and the item decription size and color. the shopping Mall not part of any of the auction packages, it a totaly different software package (multi user shopping mall) but not a shopping cart
