"Error in registration"
 
   Hi All,

After 4 months running with no problem, tonight I get this error when a user registers.

Error:
We were unable to write to the user directory.
Please hit the back browser on your browser to try again or contact the auction administrator if you believe this to be a server problem.


Now, it does create the users dat file and tells them it will be sending an email with their password but never does. Any ideas where to look???

HELP!!!

7. "Fixed problem"
 
   Hello Richard and everyone,

After thinking about the fact that all worked well until my config.pl got fried, I went and hunted the problem line by line. It seems that I had installed the newest user mod and when I replaced the corrupted config.pl, I did not set the directory for that. So when it got to that part of the registration it crapped out. :-( But since I no longer use that function, I just removed that from the registration code and all is well. :-D

Sorry to be a pain.
