"viewmybids.pl bug"

   Richard,
Deluxe 4 auction (a couple of months old)

Been testing some features and noticed that...

1-a bidder bids on an auction item...

2-another bidder bids but with a high proxy, and wins the bid...

3-the old bidder comes back and makes another bid, but below the last bidder proxy..

4- the confirmation page says you are not the high bidder, beat by a proxy bid.

5- the old bidder can click on View My Bids to see the list..

The problem I found is that the bidder appears to be the high bidder, and is green, when View my bids is clicked.

I tried this a couple of times, always below the proxy, and the last bid, even though unsuccessful, always appears green in the view my bids list and says High Bid.

Thanks

   Richard,

So ..I have been looking at the script for this viewmybids.pl (and not really getting a grasp)...

And it occurred to me today that, what if the display has the same problem as the email prob a long time ago.

I was testing with username test and username test1 bidding against each other.

Maybe the script is not recognising the difference between the two names, and putting the green High Bid on each others page becouse it doesnt know the difference between the two.

Just some thoughts since I have not been able to figure this out.

What do you think?

I have been doing some thinking (but no results) and trying some things, with no results.

Tested at the demo, to see if you found anything yet.

Is it poss to cut-n-paste something from dispitem in auction pl that would
make the high bid test work in looking for lastbid

Just checking back.

Thanks

NO it only checks the bid history stored in the items data files, download a new copy and use the new viewmybids.pl file as it is fixed and works fine.
