"BulkLister for Domain Name Auctions"

I have a lot of domain names. Adding new auctions is very time-consuming. I couldn't find the BulkLister for the Domain Name Auction program on the website or in the forums, so I asked Richard where to find it. Even though the other auction programs have a bulklister, he replied that there isn't a bulklister for the Domain Name Auction program, that only the standard and deluxe auctions have a bulklister.

Because it's important to me, I then asked Richard if there is any chance that he will be making a bulklister for the Domain Name Auction program. He replied: "Probely not as your the first user that has ever requested a bulklister for the domain name auction in 12 years".

I'm very surprised by this, so I'm posting this to find out if there haven't been any other requests for a bulklister for the Domain Name Auction progarm because nobody else needs it, or if it would be a welcome addition/tool, and nobody else has just taken the time to ask.

So... if you would like to have a bulklister for your Domain Name Auction, please speak up and post your reply.

Thanks!

as I understand, you would like to bulklist upload your domains to your own domain auction.

Are you the only Person starting new auctions?

If so, you could easy adapt the subsection to have certain stuff already put in the fields, editable, but already there, so you just have enter, b.Ex., domain-name and price, to click a buttom, then go a double step back, add another domain-name and click again.

This would be the easiest thing.

If you are not the only Auction Starter, you could create a separate Sub, containing your "premade" Content, but for such, you need to make some slight adaptions to your congigurations.

This would be second second easiest.

Or then, you learn a little about Perl, take an existing MB Bulkloader and adapt it to what it takes. There ist not som much difference anyway.

This is the hardest way, but then, you have a real Bulkloader.

just my two cents

Homer

If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there.

   Hi Homer,

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, my Domain Name Auction website is for selling my domain names only. I am the only seller. I've removed all the references to Sellers, etc.

I'm not a programmer, but I've been able to change a lot of the elements of the program after a little help from a friend who knows a bit about Perl & HTML. Most copy, alignment, removal changes are obvious and usually easy. Changing programming elements is something else that I don't want to touch.

Your first idea is something that I can probably do, or have my friend help me do. I'll try this option first.

If that doesn't make the process much easier, I'll look into the MB BulkLister for the other USANet auctions and see what I can do with it... with the help of my friend.

What I'm hoping for, is to be able to simply add domain names with relevant information: price, start time, duration, increment. I think that's all that I need to add that might be different for each domain name. Everything else will be the same. I want to have different start times so that bidders have time between auctions.

Thanks!

Steve
